YOUNG DEMOCRATS OF MISSOURI 2009 STATE CONVENTION:
Drawing members from across the state, the Young Democrats of Missouri assembled in Springfield for Jackson Days and their 2009 state convention. After a successful year in 2008, the Young Democrats convened energized and excited to continue their work. With 14 chapters and over 100 members in attendance, this convention was the largest in recent memory.
Last weekend’s convention produced a new administration. The new Executive Board is comprised of the following officers:
Chris Miller - President
Brian Roach - Vice President
Rachel Stevens - Chairperson of the Young Democrats of Missouri College Federation
Amanda Shelton - Secretary-Treasurer
Allison Bruns - National Committee Person
Keith Tubbs - National Committee Person
Cameron Sullivan - Communications Director
Chris Miller, newly elected President of the Young Democrats of Missouri, said he was pleased with the new team that those attending the convention had elected to lead the organization into the critical election season of 2010. “After a heavily attended convention, young democrats from around the state are excited to lead the future of the party once again,” said Chris “We will strive to maintain and expand the strength of the organization while working diligently to ensure that Democrats all over the state are elected in 2010.”
